On Monday March 20, 2017

Today teacher came to class 7.25 am. First of all, she checked the list of name to know that who present, absent or late. After that she gave us a sheet it was about “Cause & Effect”

And then she let us did exercise because she had to attend the opening ceremony. The exercise was about read the text and answered that was cause or effect.

After that, the teacher came back and gave us the corrective feedback.

I thought it was not too difficult and I felt fun during studying. I like this lesson because we had to analyze the text when we read that was cause or effect.

See you guys !

comparative & contrast(continued)

On Monday March 13, 201713.

First of all teacher let us checked the answer of homework in handout with friends. It was about hurricane and men and women language.
Teacher let us read the text and found the definition of the words…

Inflict (verb)  /ɪnˈflɪkt/ = to force someone to experience something very unpleasant:

Fatality (noun) /fəˈtæl.ə.ti/ = a death caused by an accident or by violence, or someone who has died in either of these ways:

Destruction (noun) /dɪˈstrʌk.ʃən/ =  the act of destroying something, or the fact of being destroyed:

And then she let us did exercises in handout.

Today we had a midterm test. The test was easier than other test that teacher ever let us took. I can answer all of question and I felt proud.

Do you agree with Tannen’s view on the subject? Be specific about your point of disagreement.

- I agree with Tannen’s view that men and women use the different language and look the world in different way because men and women raised differently. Howover, I don’t think so about most of men tend to have a challenge when they are talking with someone. I think men didn’t want to challenge with other because it will bring them a bid deal.

Are any of Tennen’s point about the differences personalities of men and woman true in your native culture? Explain Do men and women in your native culture use the language the way Tennen claim American men and women do? Give specific examples

-In my opinion, Thai men and women have differences of their communication. Because they are brought up differently They usually tell the things over and over to the men. This is caused both Thai women and men have trouble together.  In addition, they are quite isolated. They don't want to have the people who are talkative too much.

Today was quiet easy to me because it was about read the text and answered the questions. I felt fun we worked in group because we talked and worked together.

See you next post.

Procedure(continued) & comparative and contrast

On Monday March 06, 2017

First of all, we talked about the project that teacher assigned us last week. It must be consist of name of food, ingredients and utensils that we use. The score depend on fluently, accurately and creation.

After that, we started studying in handout about the how to use the toaster.
Next, teacher let us read in handout and did exercise and then she gave us the corrective feedback. We finished this lesson about procedure and the next lesson was about comparative and contrast.
First of all, she let us talked about differences and similarities of orange and apple. And then we studied about high and low context culture students.

According the text that we read there were the differences…

High context culture students

- More skill in reading
- Non verbal
- speak less
- Indirect and less explicit

Low context culture students

- Less skill in reading
- Emphasize verbal massage
- Speak more
- Listen less
- Direct and explicit

After that, she gave us a hand out and explained about it.

Today I felt pretty bored and sleepy. Nothing easy today because we had to read very long text and found the similarities and the differences in the text that’s why it difficult for me. And when I didn’t understand I will ask my friend or correct it by the corrective feedback that teacher gave us.

Good bye guys
